THE PRINCIPLE OF THE INFRARED HEATING SYSTEM

The Sun is the main infrared heating source. The solar beams travel a long distance through space with minimum energy loss.
When a surface appears in the way of the beams their energy is absorbed and transformed in heat.

 Physical signification

The range of the infrared radiation is quite large and it is divised in three sub-ranges
1. IR-A: 700 nm - 1400 nm - short, near to the visible light,
2. IR-B: 1400 nm - 3000 nm - medium,
3. IR-C: 3000 nm - 10000 nm - long.
The hotter the object, the radiated beams have a shorter the wave length, towards the visible light
(ie a very hot bar of steel).
The sub-range of long waves of infrared radiation represents the most efficient segment for transporting the thermic energy.

The homogenous distribution of the heat

The infrared heating can be compared with lighting a room.
By correctly distributing the light sources we can obtain a comfortable and homogenous lighting.
In the same way the infrared heating elements can be distributed.

 The basics of infrared heating

The best infrared heating system existing in nature, the Sun, has an excellent equivalent for the interior - the infrared heating system.
The PLEN infrared heating elements mounted on the ceiling create a thermic comfort in the same way the Sun heats us.
The infrared heating elements heat the floor, the walls, the objects etc.
This heat is accumulated into the furniture, floor and walls which then transmit the heat to the surrounding environment.
An optimal temperature is obtained like this, comfortable into the room, without heating first the air inside it.

The infrared radiation with a wave-length of 8.000 - 15.000 nanometer passes by the air molecules.
The air is thus permeable for this sub-range of infrared radiation.
The infrared radiation with shorter wave-lengths (1.400 - 3.000 nm) hits the air molecules and heats them as the usual heat radiators.
The wave-length of 8.000 - 15.000 nm permits to the infrared beams to travel longer distances, representing the optimal solution for the infrared heating for homes and other spaces.

The researches of the scientists have shown that the most benefic action (for a relative power) for the human organism is done by the infrared beams with the wave-length of 5.000 - 15.000 nm, the so-called "Rays of life".
In this range is located the infrared radiation emitted by the PLEN heating elements.
The thermic radiation of the human body is in the same range.
Based on these discoveries the japanese scientists have patented since the years '60 radiator elements with a special construction, which can be used in the saunas with infrareds.
The joined researches performed during more decades by world renouned clinics have proved the obvious advantages of the procedures with infrared beams.
The infrared beams therapy has proven effective in fighting against colds, for loosing weigth, for stimulating the gastric activity, treating the cellulite etc.
